First launch on macOS

  1. Open the .dmg and drag Kistli-Box into your Applications folder.
  2. Because the app isn't from the App Store, macOS blocks the first open. Right-click (or Control-click) the app → Open → Open.
  3. If it still won't open: System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, and click “Open Anyway” next to the Kistli-Box message — then open the app once more.

First launch on Windows

  1. Run the downloaded .exe installer.
  2. If SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info → Run anyway.

First launch on Linux

  1. Install the package (Debian/Ubuntu and derivatives): sudo apt install ./Kistli-Box_*_amd64.deb
  2. Or double-click the .deb to install via your software centre.
  3. Launch Kistli-Box from your applications menu.
